As Las Vegas gets set to host one of America’s biggest sporting events, Keith Wiater, president and CEO of Bags to Go, is ramping up efforts to handle travelers’ luggage needs. This demand has caused Waiter to hire 40 more luggage handlers and keep his office at 4057 Dean Martin Drive open 24/7 through the weekend.
“Bags to Go is ready for the influx of travelers into Las Vegas for the Big Game,” states Wiater.
Specializing in secure luggage storage, Bags to Go operates with over 183 employees in Las Vegas and 74 in Fort Lauderdale. As travelers head to Las Vegas for the Big Game, the pressure is on for Bags to Go to deliver seamless service.
“I can’t stress enough the importance of reliable communication and internet service, especially during such a busy time,” says Wiater. “It’s something we really rely on in our business.”
Authorized by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Bags to Go offers a convenient service for tourists arriving at Harry Reid International Airport. Travelers can securely drop off luggage at Bags to Go’s office near the Strip, allowing them to explore Las Vegas without their belongings. They also manage baggage coordination for large groups of people. Tourists who are traveling together can book service with Bags to Go to have their luggage picked up at the airport and delivered to their hotel.
To prepare for a big moment like this, Wiater needs a reliable service partner to keep him and his employees connected as they are busy working. Verizon Business is integral to Bags to Go’s operations, providing essential services like push-to-talk cell phones, radios, office phones, and high-speed internet.
Jessica Leavitt, sales director for Verizon Business, highlights the company’s commitment to supporting businesses like Bags to Go, regardless of size.
“At Verizon Business, our commitment lies in connecting communities and empowering businesses, regardless of their size. We understand that Bags to Go’s services play an important role in improving the travel experience for individuals exploring the vibrant city of Las Vegas, and we are proud to support them in their day-to-day operations. Whether it’s ensuring secure storage for personal belongings or facilitating seamless communication through our network, Verizon Business is dedicated to being a reliable partner for small and midsize businesses like Bags To Go and others across Las Vegas.
Wiater has been using Verizon for several years now, and depends on the service and reliability for his business. In the last several months, he switched all of his services over to Verizon Business to help operate both his Nevada and Florida offices. During our conversation, using his Verizon mobile phone, he showed live security camera footage from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport office.
“We are constantly in correspondence with one another and need accessible and reliable internet service to make sure we know who is going with what and where.”
Verizon Business is committed to supporting businesses in Las Vegas. They have been continually enhancing the network and have nearly tripled the city’s network capacity in the last three years. This has resulted in greater bandwidth and higher data speeds for customers across the city.
Las Vegas is famously known for its 365 days of events and conferences with people pouring into the city from all over the world. Wiater said the Las Vegas operation handles from a couple of hundred bags to more than 1,000, depending on the event or convention. As for the Big Game weekend, Wiater is expecting to be very busy, but, he said, “You never know until it happens.”
